Simple Model for Leading a Class in Henle Latin

CC directors often overwhelm themselves with the idea of leading a community day.  Remember that CC provides weekly director helps and they are fantastic.

I highly recommend you spend your time DOING the Latin and not a ton of time planning a Latin lesson plan.  We often get so stressed about leading that we over-plan (and therefore under learn).  Do the Latin 1st.  Then share with your students.

Find a rhythm at home.

Do Latin (maybe the Workbooks I provide) 2-3 days per week.  On the first day, you do Latin, watch a video, if that helps you get started more quickly.  You can watch the CC-connected video or a Latin Tutorial video.

Day 1- Watch the video and do 1 hour of Latin (Vocabulary, charts, grammar, exercises, and reading)

Day 2 - do 1 hour of Latin

Day 3 -plan your community day.  Here is a simple rhythm you can follow to keep a rhythm.  Some weeks you will have a long game or a long lesson, but this rhythm can help you plan simply and quickly.
