STUDENT RESOURCES

LATIN RESOURCE NOTEBOOK

    1. Left Pocket - Vocabulary Resources  by Lesson and by Part of Speech 
    2. Middle - Charts and lots of HOW TO RESOURCES  - I print pages 14-24 in color. This is the same version used in Ch B so no need to reprint if you already have it.
    3. Right - Grammar Q&A - I just use the Grammar Q&A from Challenge I.  It feels like the volume is so high at this point, most students need more practice at the basics.  If anyone is interested in typing up those Grammar Rules from Ch II - I will import them into this system.

I print these pages and place in a 3 prong folder.
I do not like these resources to be in the same folder as the exercises.  Students should be able to open their charts while they are doing exercises to not have to flip back and forth.(This is a great resource for parents to quiz their own students)

THE STUDENT WORKBOOK

The student workbook is divided into 4 sections

    1. Vocabulary
    2. Grammar (& Charts)
    3. Exercises
    4. Readings 

Students should work in each section of their notebooks EVERYDAY.  I just have students include a removable tab for each section.  That way they can flip to exactly where they need to be each day.

This is my favorite set of grammar explanations that are free on YouTube.  The Latin Tutorial guy does a GREAT job explaining the grammar behind this.

Vocabulary Quizzes

Here is a set of Vocabulary Quizzes (5 for each semester) in Google Forms.  These will ask for your email so that when you are finished, it will email you your responses and score.

Quizzes 1-4 and 6-9 are 20 questions with 15 words current and 5 words review (except for Quiz 1 of course)

Quizzes 5 & 10 are semester quizzes of 100 words

Chart Quizzes
Take charts from a blank (from the left menu) Weeks 4,7,11 and 14 each semester.  These need to be hand graded.  Just count how many words they fill out and have them mark the ones they miss in ANOTHER COLOR.  Take 1/4 point off for missing macrons.
